House mice, quite common in New York City, are highly intelligent. Natural students, they excel at learning and understanding concepts. For example, mice have multiple methods of communicating with one another. They talk through their characteristic squeaks and chirps. Some vocalizations, known as ultrasonic vocalizations are so high pitched that humans can’t hear them. Additional researchers have even found that mice sing.
